Thousands of people are expected for the inaugural Downtown Barbecue Throwdown which will be held in downtown Chandler on March 20th. 

Thirty (30) teams from around the country will compete for top honors in four categories - pork ribs, pork shoulder /butt, brisket and half chicken - for over $10,000 in cash and prizes.  There is even a "Backyard Division" for chicken, burgers, carne asada and salsa. 

There will also be live music and a beer garden slated for 10am to 9 pm in the historic square.

Tickets can be purchased for $10 online at www.chandlerbbq.com or at Crowne Plaza San Marcos Resort, SanTan Brewing Company, Chandler Harley Davidson and at the Boys & Girls Club of the East Valley.  The ticket price includes five (5) complimentary barbecue samplers and an All Access Kids Zone Wristband.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Chandler Service Club and the Boys & Girls Club of the East Valley.
